Welcome to my corner of the literary world! I’m Margaret Fierstine, a passionate author, reader, and freelance editor of women’s fiction, memoirs, and sweet romance. I live in the breathtaking Upper Peninsula of Michigan along the shores of Lake Superior. My days are enriched by my faith, my family, and the beauty of the natural world all around me. As a conservative Christian, I value stories that uplift and inspire, and I especially cherish those that emphasize friendship, family, and second chances.

 

My Journey With Words

Stories have always been my haven. Whether I’m crafting novels under my pen name (Charlotte Everhart) reading for pleasure, or combing through a fellow author’s manuscript, I find joy in the power of words to connect and transform. With five published novels, two short stories, and a sixth novel in progress, I understand the courage it takes to pour your heart into your book. That’s why, as an editor, I’m committed to nurturing your unique voice while ensuring your manuscript shines with clarity and polish.

My editing journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English from Northern Michigan University in 2001 followed by Secondary Education Certification in 2002. During my years of teaching, I honed my eye for detail through the grading of countless papers, a skill that seamlessly transitioned into editing. In 2019, I completed a comprehensive editing course through Edit Republic and launched Reliance Editorial Services, LLC. Since then, I have edited everything from websites to dissertations to novels. Today, I focus exclusively on women’s fiction, memoirs, and sweet romance—genres that spark joy and align with my love for heartfelt storytelling.
